The Nisei Week queen coronation will be held as part of the 67th Nisei Week Japanese Festival on Saturday, Aug. 18, 7 p.m., at the Japan America Theatre in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo.

Ehren Watada, the Nikkei Army officer who refused deployment to Iraq on the grounds that he believes the war is illegal, does not constitute double jeopardy.
