By BEN HAMAMOTO Good and bad news for APAs in Entertainment this week. The bad first: NBC’s “The Book Of Daniel” has been taken off the air. I haven’t seen it personally, but it’s sad that TV audiences won’t see Ivan Shaw’s character, which “Angry Asian Man” called “progressive” and “groundbreaking.” Low ratings probably had a lot to do with the decision, but I’m sure the threats from conservatives, angry at the portrayal of a Jesus that’s tolerant of homosexuality and pot smoking, didn’t help either.

It seems that every idea known to man has been turned into a video game. There’s the run around and shoot aliens type, the Tetris clones, and even a game with the premise of feeding a blob jelly beans. And although I don’t know how fun a fishing game would be, they have those too. From the Nichi Bei Times Weekly February 2, 2006
